Un voyage à Teulada

Synopsis

Assunta, une octogénaire, s’écroule de fatigue devant la porte de son appartement. Sa voisine, Fatima, une adolescente syrienne, se porte à son secours. La vieille dame survit miraculeusement, mais lorsqu’elle reprend connaissance, elle découvre par une étrange ironie du sort que sa maladie a ramené dans son monde, des hommes, des femmes et des enfants qui ont peuplé son passé et son village natal en Sardaigne, marqué par la création du plus grand champ de manœuvre de l’OTAN en Europe, ce qui l’a forcée, elle et son peuple, à fuir son village et son île.

Un voyage à Teulada, c’est le voyage qu’Assunta fera à la fin de son histoire. Ce sera un voyage de retour pour retrouver cette partie d’elle-même qui l’attendait, enterrée entre les collines et la mer de sa terre natale.

Assun­ta, an elder­ly woman, col­laps­es from exhaus­tion. She is res­cued by her neigh­bour Fati­ma, a Syr­i­an teenag­er. When the old woman regains con­scious­ness, she makes a strange dis­cov­ery: her apart­ment is now invad­ed by the peo­ple who lived in her child­hood vil­lage in Sar­dinia. She then relives the ups and downs of her youth, when NATO decid­ed to estab­lish in her small heav­en one of their biggest mil­i­tary maneu­ver­ing fields, forc­ing them to flee their home­land. ​
A jour­ney to Teu­la­da is a sort of home­com­ing for Assun­ta, but it also is the meet­ing of two immi­grants from dif­fer­ent back­grounds, and from dif­fer­ent times, who will help each oth­er and go a long way together
