Synopsis

“Y’a d’la joie !” chez Monsieur Hulot, c’est Noël ! Chez les Arpel, c’est le branle-bas de combat. Monsieur Arpel a invité Monsieur Sato, le patron de sa société dans son nouvel appartement connecté. Tout doit être parfait. Mais c’est sans compter sur Hulot et la tempête de neige qui arrive. A son habitude, Monsieur Hulot va créer un joyeux bazar et nous entraîner dans un Noël particulier. Mais surtout, il va faire la rencontre de Yuki…

Christmas time is over. Monsieur Hulot’s Christmas tree is dying. He decides to save it and plant it right in the middle of the rotary, the only remaining plot of land in this urban environment. Hulot is helped by his little neighbour, Louis, a great fan of his whimsy and eccentricities – much to the discontent of his father, who happens to be the borough mayor. But the tree grows so tall that it creates a joyful chaos! So much so that by the following Christmas, the mayor decides to get rid of it, and thereby end the bond his son shares with Hulot. The decision is made to chop the tree down! But instead, with the help of Louis, Hulot, a bit of snow, a little touch of magic and a lot of love, life turns into a “jour de fête”, a never-ending celebration!

A snowflake in the sky of Paris… On this December morning, Monsieur Hulot is merry: tomorrow, it’s Christmas! At the Arpel’s, it’s the rush: they are moving from their famous villa for a fully connected apartment. The snow storm of the century is about to pound Paris and Monsieur Arpel is on the rack since for Christmas, he invited over Monsieur Sato, the world director of his company. Through a very modern mall, on the Butte Montmartre, transformed into a ski resort or in the famous automated apartment of the Arpel’s, Monsieur Hulot wil bring about a joyful and poetic mess, dragging us through a very special Christmas in a snow-covered Paris, where he will also meet Yuki…
