Synopsis

Adaptation libre du roman La Guerre des salamandres de Karel Čapek.

Echouée sur une île sauvage avec son père, Juliette, 11 ans, rencontre une étonnante salamandre géante, qui végète avec les siens sur l’îlot voisin, cerné par les requins. L’enfant et la bête se lient d’amitié. Le vieil Isamu l’a pourtant mise en garde : “si les salamandres sont libérées, elles envahiront la Terre”…

Washed up on a wild island with her father, Juliet, 11 years old, meets an astonishing giant salamander. The animal and its fellows have been vegetating on the nearby small island, surrounded by sharks. The girl and the beast become friends. However the old Isamu warned her: “if the salamanders are freed, they will invade the world…”
