Synopsis

Un “female gaze” hollandais sur l’éveil à la sensualité de la jeunesse dans une époque inondée par les images pornographiques.

In english dans le texte
An introverted teenager who’s only ever experienced intimacy through the lens while working for his father’s pornography business, must step out from behind the camera when a feisty classmate challenges him to embrace real connection.

Alec, a soft-spoken, introverted teenager, has always viewed life through the lens of his father’s small-time pornography business, their home doubling as a set. Since his mother’s death, he’s been drawn deeper into the family business, filming and editing the content that his rough-edged father, Dylan, produces and stars in.
Dylan, an aging performer, is struggling to keep things afloat, relying on girls like Lizzie, a free-spirited adult entertainer who has formed an older-sister bond with Alec. As financial pressures mount, Dylan’s swagger begins to unravel, exposing Alec to the growing chaos around him.
When they relocate from London to a sleepy seaside town, Alec hopes for a fresh start, trying to make friends without revealing his unconventional life. Things take a turn when he meets classmate Nina, a fiercely independent girl, whose worldview couldn’t be further from the one he grew up with. As their bond deepens, Nina invites him into a realm of closeness and vulnerability that can’t be captured on camera, challenging him to explore what it means to be truly seen.
